I know the steps functionality is not being ported for this version but would it be possible to bring the GUI over for desktop/laptop users as an option in the settings? The touch interface is not nearly as powerful as the desktop gui was and for us computer users seems very impractical.
The fixture addressing and editing screen is a real change and I personally can't stand it. I loved the visual editor for addressing, it made it so easy to see where you had room to put fixtures and move them around.
I'm having a real tough time adopting this version due to these things despite my excitement over the new generators capabilites.

Re: V9 GUI and Fixture addressing
V_II is built around a library of touch-sensitive controls.
Replacing these controls with non-touch controls would mean developing a new software from scratch.
Regarding the missing visual editor for addressing, please note that the overlapped and available channels are clearly highlighted.

I know and it's a good attempt but it's just not nearly as nice as the visual table to clearly see space.
Maybe you could make a button that pops up that same visual table?
How about porting the new generator to V9, is that possible? Trying to find a happy middle ground here to keep this software in use for my shows.
