Hi, I use showXpress for theater lighting, and in v9 I exclusively used step scenes & sequential lists. We have about 100 incandescent fixtures, 2 scanners, and some RBG LEDs.
Using the new generator tab, I don't see a way to build a static scene with multiple lights at different intensities. What am I missing?
How to make step scenes?
Re: How to make step scenes?
It is possible to select and adjust each fixture separately in the tab "Fixtures" in Generator.
That said the software V_II does not have a "Sequential List" module style.
So we suggest you to keep using V9.

I was going to ask the same question. The new UI in V_II is awful for workflow and a definite downgrade from V9. Guess I'll abandon my project to upgrade. Not user friendly at all.
Re: How to make step scenes?
Thanks for your feedback. We understand that a major UI change can feel disruptive, especially after years of working with V9.
If you are comfortable with the Step-based workflow in V9 (TheLightingController Classic), we absolutely recommend continuing to use it. It remains a solid and efficient solution for that programming style.
TheLightingController II was designed with a different approach in mind. The goal is to simplify the creation of complex scenes, allowing them to be built quickly with just a few clicks, or even from a mobile device. This reflects how many newer users prefer to work today.
That said, we are continuously working to improve usability for all types of users, including those coming from V9.
Also, it is still possible to recreate “step-like” workflows using the Generator in TheLightingController II, including with different fixture models. Here is an example of how to proceed:
